Submission: Come launch model rockets with us!
By Megan Moberg
Looking for something fun to do on campus as the weather warms up and classes wind down? Come help the Society of Physics Students launch their new club with their model rocket event!
Join the Society of Physics Students on Tuesday, April 27th from 11:30-1:30 in Mendel 306 or Mendel 311 to construct and decorate your very own model rocket.
Rockets will be launched on the St. Kate’s quad on Tuesday, May 4th from 11:30-1:30. You can come launch the rocket you created, or feel free to attend as an observer if you are unable to participate in the rocket construction event.
Any students enrolled in PHYS 1040, 1090, or 1120 can receive extra credit for attending this event, so don’t miss this great opportunity!
Please use this link to register for the Rocket Launch event. This event is completely free, and all students are welcome to participate. You don’t need to be a STEM major or member of the Society of Physics Students to have a good time launching model rockets. Feel free to email sps@stkate.edu with any questions. We hope to see you soon!
