The Magic of Memories

The Magic of Memories

By Ella Tracy

Disneyland is marketed as “The Most Magical Place on Earth.” But as I grew older, I started to doubt that Disneyland could actually hold such a title. Sure, my 5-year-old sister would adore meeting all the characters in costumes that she recognized from movies and would make memories that would last forever, but without the joyful and curious mind of a child, I doubted I could enjoy such an experience as much as her.

The four days I spent at Disneyland with my family at the beginning of the new year proved me wrong.

Without a doubt, it is the most magical place on earth.

Between my parents and I, we easily took a thousand photos during our trip. Much sifting and sorting resulted in some of my favorite photos of all time. Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times and thank you for experiencing Ella’s Disney Memories. Enjoy the ride!

I highly recommend bringing your own snacks to Disneyland, but there are a few essentials you can only get in the parks.

To say that my time at Galaxy’s Edge with my dad was the greatest afternoon of my life would be an understatement. Spontaneous reservation at Oga’s Cantina, meeting my favorite heroes, becoming best friends with R2-D2 and sending the Millennium Falcon into hyperspace are core memories.

I heckled stormtroopers and got heckled back. It was hilarious.

Meeting my heroes at Avengers Campus made me laugh, cry, giggle and screech with thrilled excitement. For the public’s general knowledge, Natasha Romanoff agrees that the Avengers should use lightsabers once in a while.

My family is composed of one hundred percent nerds and my entire camera roll proves it.

May I introduce Wakanda’s new Jedi warrior. This was my sister Breyonna’s first time at Disneyland! Seeing her experience the magic made the week more magical for me.

My favorite iconic Disneyland sights: Hollywood Studios, Pixar Pier, the lifesize model of the Millennium Falcon, the epic roller coaster Space Mountain and the beloved castle.

Some day, these pictures will end up framed on my wall. Disneyland, thank you for every magical moment. I can’t wait to experience it all again.
